ShawTV - RnR Wellness Treats Women in Need

Last year, RnR Wellness donated nearly 100 services to women-in-need. For many of the women receiving services, this was their first time at a spa. This year, RnR Wellness is extending its reach even further. In addition to public nominations, they are treating the moms from several charities including the Make a Wish Foundation.

Making this all happen is RnR Wellness Owner/Founder Elisabeth Fayt, also best-selling author and recent recipient of Global TV's Woman of Vision award.  "It's not just about a free spa treatment. When these women come here, to a place of peace, they get their spirit back."

Calgary's job growth stalling amid uncertainty - The city loses 1,400 jobs, survey finds

CALGARY - Diane Riley counts herself as one of the lucky people in today's uncertain labour market in the city. Riley, a registered massage therapist and reiki master, was hired in September to work at RnR Wellness The Spa, in the basement level of the Fairmont Palliser hotel. She had moved to Calgary in early September to be closer to her family. By the end of the month, she was hired by Elisabeth Fayt, owner of the downtown spa.

About 16 years ago, Elisabeth Fayt had no interest in meditation. One day, she ended up at a weekend workshop that happened to discuss the ancient spiritual practice. Fayt absolutely loved the experience. “I realized that meditation was more than sitting in silence. Meditation is a way of life. It changed my life. Everything in my life changed. Everything I thought had meaning had no meaning the way it used to. I became happier,” she says. That experience sent her on a spiritual journey where she studied the teachings of Yogananda. Today, meditation is a way of life for the Calgary wife, mother, businesswoman, author and international inspirational speaker.
